Sitting on the rolling countryside of central New York you will find Rice Farms of Cayuga County, Inc. Operated by Larry, Kathy, and their son Erick since 2001. Larry and Kathy sold their large electrical buisness in PA and knew that they needed a slower lifestyle. The alpaca lifestyle offered us less stress with a country setting right in our back yard. Larry had farming in his backround from his child hood days, and this helped us with the initial setup of our fencing and barns. We would love to share this knowledge with you. Currently Kathy works full time with the animals while Larry maintains a small electrical buisness.

A visit to our farm will show you instantly how well our animals are cared for as well as seeing our very well groomed farm and pastures. All of our daily chores are done personally by us.

Our farm has been growing steadly every year and we now have a wide variety of huacaya alpacas that come in all colors. We curently have 27 alpacas on our farm and are expecting 9 crias to be born in the summer of 07. There is always an alpaca that will fit your needs at Rice Farms.

We will be glad to work with first time buyers as well as an established farm that is looking to expand. We are always glad to spend the time needed to share our knowledge with you and answer your questions. If you talk to any of our customers you will find that we go far beyond the norm to help you after your purchase. You can usually catch us at home but we encourage you to make an appointment to take a detailed farm tour and ask us any questions you may have.

We currently offer sales on new crias as well as bred females, and several males that are ready for breeding. Financing is also available on all animals.

We offer breeding both at our farm and yours.
